Is it too soon to call Melissa Barrera a modern-day Scream Queen? Regardless, she is “very grateful” for the support she received online from the fans. After being controversially fired from the Scream franchise for speaking out in support of the Palestinian cause where Israel's attack on Gaza was concerned, Barrera found it “very unexpected" when the fandom began speaking up for her on social media.
