I’m trying to watch more French films as I’m trying to learn French, but I want some French films that are neither arthouse/new wave stuff, grotesque horror, or grotesque low-brow comedies!
I like all those genres, of course, but I want to watch some more underlooked, fun, middle-brow sort of French films, the type of movie probably overlooked by English speaking audiences. I’d prefer films from the 20th century is fine but any period works.
Sorry if this is a confusing prompt, but any suggestions are okay, even if it’s just a French film you think more people should see but it doesn’t exactly fit what I’m asking for! Thank you!
