So there is this normal boy/man or girl/woman and they meet someone and they start to date, but things become slowly more and more odd or mysterious until suddenly the boy/man/girl/woman is drawn into a thrilling action adventure by their love interest.

I feel like I have seen several of these movies but cannot for the life of me remember a single one. Everything I can find starts with a mystery surrounding the protagonist and adds the love interest later (like the Bourne Identity). Do you know any movies that start with the love and add the action later and from the side of the love interest?
