Dog Lice and Cats

Does anybody have any experience with dog lice and it transferring to cats? I’m absolutely freaking out that my cat will get lice from our dog. They stay separate, but I’m still terrified. I know that lice are generally species specific, but in the back of my mind I wonder if it could spread to my cat if the lice were desperate enough.

If it means anything, the dog had sucking lice.
