Does the Bachelor franchise make anyone else feel a little depressed?

Just finished watching the Bachelor last night and while I'm happy for the new couple and the new Bachelorette, I found myself feeling a little sad. I think it's because the franchise presents a very sanitized and picture perfect couple as the ideal young couple. Anybody else feel this way?
