Advice- How to see puffins on a day trip from Edinburgh

I really, really want to see the puffins while in Scotland. While we are on Isle of Skye we will be on a tour so can’t get off on our own to see them while there. I don’t see any tour that leaves from Edinburgh to go to Isle of May. I hope this sub can help with advice on how to see the puffins from Edinburgh. Thanks in advance!
