For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected. * WHERE...The open waters of Lake Erie from The Islands to Vermilion OH. * WHEN...For the Gale Warning, from 3 PM this afternoon to 10 PM EST this evening. For the Low Water Advisory, from 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As of 4 AM this morning, the water level at Toledo was 28 inches above low water datum. The critical mark for safe navigation is 3 inches. The water levels are expected to sharply fall late this afternoon as winds increase out of the west and are expected to fluctuate near or just below the critical mark of 3 inches through early Thursday before rising.
