I'm going to Vienna for a congress later this month, but will arrive a few days in advance and am looking for recommendations. I'll have 2 full days + 2 half days of free time (well, almost two full days; I'll be arriving by train in the morning). I'll be staying in Leopoldstadt.
What I'm thinking about doing so far:
I've done some more research but get owerwhelmed by all options so I hope you can helpp me with suggestions! I enjoy most kinds of museums and also like looking at/inside nice building as well as culture (theatre, classical concerts etc). Vegetarian food recommendations are also welcome!
I was also thinking about spending one day on a day trip somewhere, but I'm debating if it's worth it or if I should focus on just Vienna as there seems to be plenty to do there. I love nature and hiking - any suggestions for a day trip somewhere beautiful with good public transportation from Vienna (1-2 hours maximun travel time one way)?
