I have poor circulation in my feet - would compression socks make it worse?

I’m preparing for a long flight to Greece from the west coast and I’ve read that compression socks can be really helpful for long flights. But the way my brain thinks is compression socks are tight, tight restricts blood flow, toes become even more lifeless lol. Please no mean or smartass comments - I genuinely don’t know and am just trying to make this as unmiserable as possible. TIA
